What software for Multi Media Presentation?

  Frijsenborg 19:56 21 Oct 04

I am about to buy a PC with a view to occasionally making digital photos into slide shows using background music, down-loaded from the Internet, and overlaid with my own spoken commentry and then burn the result onto DVDs for my grandchildren to watch on TV.
Can anybody recommend a suitable software package and suggest what I need to keep in mind when specifying the hardware?

im not too sure but i think the adobe photoshop elements / album may be able to do this. I have just had a quick look and you can create a video cd with photos and then add music and titles to it.

hope this helps

Windows MovieMaker 2, which can be downloaded from microsoft.com, can handle video and picture files along with audio and music files.

PhotoImpact Album 6, on a recent PCA cover disk, also does slide shows with sound.
