I love HP's high end business laptops, and use one every day that is now two years old and still in near perfect condition, but I have never been very keen on the low budget offerings. I think there are better cheap laptops around and most group tests tend to agree. click here

I would not expect too much from that price range, to be fair. Although, if whatever factory HP uses for the budget specs can even come close to the build quality of the high end specs, then you could do a lot worse.

I decided to buy the same Compaq from Curry's (due to the negative Pixmania thread), however it was out of stock (and discontinued!!), so i decided to order this click here

I've always had good experiences with Amazon, and it looks like a decent spec, so here's hoping.
