Motherboard isn't as good though, as well as the sound and the power supply/cooling.

The 350W will struggle with a high spec like that.

By the way my original quote is from PC Specialist :)

  SG Atlantis® 15:51 21 Mar 06

£45 to up the PSU.

I configured from here click here

I can't change the mobo on it but works out still cheaper than your quote.

  lee_robinson1983 15:57 21 Mar 06

I take your point but I prefer the top end MB as it gives you more options later on.

Also noticed no firewire + with having 2 smaller hard drives it will cost more to upgrade, I could just whack another 320GB when I deem it neccessary.

  SG Atlantis® 16:17 21 Mar 06

you can pick up a firewire card for a fiver anywhere.

Fair point on the hdds but I prefer 2 hdds, one for the OS and the other for data. I also have my windows pagefile on the second hdd which helps boost performance.

  lee_robinson1983 16:44 21 Mar 06

nice info on the hdds. Still think I'm gonna stick with my quote though, I prefer the higher spec MB and the better sound. Thanks for the info though Atlantis, it's much appreciated
