My comp: MS Windows XP SP2, AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3400+, 512MB RAM, MSI (Micro Star) MS-6741 (K8TM-ILS) Motherboard, and a useless integrated VIA/SG3 UnichromeII Graphics.

I'm planning to add a GIG of RAM but need help in choosing a half decent graphics card. Can I have some suggestions of cards between £50-100. Will be planning to play CIV4 and MTW2.

For your budget & interface (AGP)...

A 7600GT (256Mb) for £66 click here is the least you should go for.

Possibly the best would be a X1950Pro (512Mb) for £97 click here.

Benchmark comparison list click here - change the game/test under 'Choose benchmark' to compare the 2 above.

What's your PSU like? G

get the ATI 1950 PRO, its still faster than many cards on the market(8600gt,2600pro), abd it available in AGP

X1950 GT (it's cheaper) or Pro would be a good idea. nVidia's offering, the 7950 GT is just too expensive.

Btw, that Point of View 7600GT is substandard. It uses slow DDR2 VRAM, and I wouldn't buy it.

Dont forget that fitting a graphics card may require an uprated psu to go with it, I know that from experence when I fitted a 1950 pro into my Father in Laws Computer.

PSU is power supply unit.

What's the PSU wattage? You may have to open the case & have a look at the text on the label.

If you have an eMachines PC, it may help if you can tell us the model number. G
