In theory-No.XP disc is for first one original computer only.

I've loaded them on different computers (upgrades).

to run the software on more than one machine you can do what you propose. Your licence for Windows XP is for one machine only, and it's up to you to decide which machine that is. You must remove it from your old computer though.

thanks for your advice, i feel more at ease now. i will only be running that licence on my new machine. thanks again for clarifying this issue.

"i will only be running that licence on my new machine."

I assume from what you have said in this sentence above, that someone else will be running XP on your old machine elsewhere.

Big Bill would be most unhappy, if that is the case!
