Top spec Pc for £4000.00?

I was just having a look through a stack of old magazines and found this "top spec" PC in the January 96 issue from a well known supplier. Interesting to see what £4000 would get you then and look at the spec you can get now for a tenth of the price!(and about 20 times faster!)

you can get a very very very sexy Mac G5 dual processor model with bags of RAM, a massive hard drive, and a simply superb 20" TFT monitor.

A friend of mine as just retired one of those old high spec £2776.52 computers after having a further £500 upgrade last year.I eventually convinced him,that he had been done!!.
