It's good(I think it retails for somewhere between £25-50, so £12 is fair), but so is Open Office, which is virtually identical, and which is free, from click here. (60 MBs of it)
Take your pick.

Look at PCA from a couple of months ago where you will see the results of our evaluation of Star Office 6. As a personal opinion since the trial I've now stopped using Works and use Star Office as my office program, it's got most of what M$ Office XP has got for a heck of lot less money.
