Any idea of a contact email address for getting the above repaired/returned - it is only 5 months old, but seems to be totally dead as regards writing CDs!

Thanks - but second link says

"This email contact is for United States of America Customers Only. Non United States of America residents should contact technical support in their country for assistance."

I'm in the UK !

My drive is a CRX225E - they only list a CRX225A

Does the "A" suffix stand for America + "E" for Europe ?

sorry i gave you the wrong in the uk too :-)

click here and this was the email address they contacted me back from [email protected]

the E means its and oem drive where as A stands for retail.dont worry too much about that if it was bought retail as my crx230A is called E by windows.

was it in a sony box with software etc?if so it sounds like retail.if it came in a plain box its more than likely oem.

Are you near a Sony shop? They will take repairs etc.
