Certainly seems a good deal - £3ish for unlimited European calls.

I'm happy with Skype so this would be a great deal.

It's probably offered on the same basis/method that TalkTalk provides free International calls to 36 countries with its International3 (now AnyTime) and slightly less expensive Evening and Weekend International packages.

The only experience I have of Skype is not good. My son calls me occasionally from the south of France. The quality is awful, and I only understand about two thirds of what is said.

As some users speak well of Skype, I wondered if it because he is on a slow dial-up connection. I have broadband.

I can call him on his landline for only 1p/min, using 18185. Quality excellent.

I talk to the older offspring in the Caymans using Skype - we both have broadband and sound and video quality is quite remarkable.
