My teenage daughter wants a sony vaio pink laptop which cost over £700. I have seen one on on ebay for sale. Brand new in box and its £400 so therefore a big difference. Will it work just the same or am i likely to come across problems with it? Seller has good feedback from other uk buyers. Otherwise does anybody know of similar that is not too expensive?

I bought an HP laptop from an Ebay seller in US last Xmas without problem. It arrived within three days complete with UK power adapter. The only difference is it has a US keyboard which I dont find a problem, the @ and " are just reversed.

Don't forget you will be liable for import duty + VAT on the cost plus shippng charges.
Should they put a false price on the Documents to try and avoid this and Customs find out they can seize the laptop and bring Criminal Charges against you as the importer.
You also need to find out if the warranty is valid in this country or are you going to have to ship it back to the US if something goes wrong.
