scan computer insurance claim

bought a asus rampage mother board from scan along with there scansure insruance policy built up my pc out side case to test all lite up but could not get it to post after looking on the google others had the same problem with this board so sent it back to scan and asked for a refund they sent me a email saying that they had tested the board and found a fault abent pin which thay say can be repaired but all so two tracks cut on the front of the mother and have refused to exsept the damag, as the board has come stright out of the box then layed on the a table to have the other parts put in i can not see how these two tracks can get cut, it dos say acidental damage i have only had the board 4days can any avise me on what to do help help
