Samsung Syncmaster 206BW

My old Philips 17" TFT got damaged (a nasty split in the screen) so I decided it was time for a new, wider screen.

After much reading and looking I went for the Samsung 206BW and I have just finished setting it up - the work of about 5 minutes from start to finish. (It was so fast installing I had to check I hadn't made a mistake somewhere!)

I've no idea if its a "P", "S" or "A" or whatever the different designations are that seem to be much discussed but its free of stuck pixels, seems to show my images well in 1680X1050 (it does need calibrating for my photo work though).

It shows as having been made in Slovakia, a change from China or Taiwan - whether this is "Good" or "Bad" I don't know.

So, for £199 I'm a happy bunny and am quite impressed with the progressthat TFT screen have made in the last 3+ years since I got my last one
