Samsung Gear S NOT water proof

  JonathanFeaver 01:08 19 Mar 15

I got a Samsung Gear S watch just over 2 months ago for 12,000 baht, this week it stopped working while I was sitting in my office ,I took it to the Samsung repair centre and they told me it would cost 5000 baht to have the watch repaired as there was moisture inside it .(it is less than 10 weeks old!!!!) Samsung say this watch can be in 1 metre of water for 30 mins and still work. I only use this for jogging, never go swimming or underwater with it and have showered with it twice. So they want to charge me for a water proof watch that is not moisture proof. Samsung Thailand are just giving me the run around and I hope by writing to you, you maybe able to give me some help, I hope you can or I have 12000 baths worth of crap on my hands Thank you for your time

May depend on what the regs in Thailand are.

In the UK one would have a claim against the supplier (as that is who the purchase contract would be with) for goods not being fit for purpose.
