SAF IT Disk Encryption

  James48 22:46 03 Jan 07

I recently bought SAFE IT Secure Disk and the encrypted drive of nearly 1 GB of files and data soon disappeared from view.

The .ved file still appears to be on my PC but SAFE IT will no longer connect to the .ved file. The SAFE IT FAQs and handbook do not cover this problem (or any trouble shooting) and SAFE IT help staff been uanble to assist.

Having set up a new encrypted drive with the ved file found on my PC, the new drive shows NO contents, ie as if the files and data have been destroyed by SAFE IT.

Any advice much appreciated

Have you tried a system restore to just before you loaded the prog? Never try anything intrusive (encryption, partitioning etc.) to any files unless you have backed uo first;-))

Gandalf - thanks for the advice. Sadly, SAFE IT remained frozen. System restore and even re-installing had no result.
