Does anyone know what the system requirments are to run the Aero interface on Vista Home Premium please? Microsoft's page is a bit vague....

My system is Core 2 Duo E6600, 2gb RAM, 320gb HDD, 256mb nVidia 7900GS. Monitor resolution is 1024x780. Would this handle Vista and Aero as I've been told it's quite demanding! Thanks!

That should do Fine.

I was reading the system requirements last night on a friends pc. So I don't have the page to link to.

Thanks, but I haven't actually received the said system yet, I'm waiting delivery. I just took it for granted that as it came pre-loaded with Vista Home Premium that it would be capable enough to run Aero. But have read about how demanding Vista is, wondered if anyone could quantify that by what it actually requires!

from your specs it will run Aero interface with no problem but wht size monitor you using as 1024 x 768 is for 17" crts or 15" TFTs, be much better if you can run 1280 x 1024

Whiskey487,

you will have no problems whatsoever running the Aero interface. A friend of mines runs Vista Ultimate on a notebook (1440x900) with an integrated graphic chipset, and some of the new desktop scenes (only available as extras with the ultimate version) look superb, especially one, which has running water streaming down a rockface. (as usual I can't remember the title.
