Just found out via the Royal Mail employees magazine that Royal Mail will no longer deliver lithium batteries among other things. Prohibited goods

Interesting that and having looked at their web site you can't send frozen water (ice) either. Now that is a real bummer!

Answer

Does not apply to commercial customers, they have a different set of rules.

"Alkaline, nickel metal hydride (NiMH) and nickel cadmium (NiCd) batteries may only be sent when new and in their original packaging."

So replacement Dreamliner batteries should be OK.
