returns conditions

I am having a problem understanding these conditions for returning items.

"If you are returning the item yourself we recommend you use a traceable and insured delivery agent to return the items to us. ie: Recorded Delivery or Special Delivery via Royal Mail. Postage up to a maximum of £5.00 will be refunded for any returns due to Damaged/Faulty or mis-shipped items. Please ensure the postage receipt is sent with your return."

You won't get receipt until you have posted the item - so how do you enclose the receipt?

Sealed type document bag, sealed in front of the PO counter staff?.

In any case I wouldn't send the original receipt, because you as the sender might/would need to make any claims against the insurance and have proof of cover.

Ask to PO for a duplicate receipt.
