I currently have an Epson C82 printer which has just packed in. Please could someone give their opinions on a possible replacement.

I print the usual stuff that everyone else does plus photos. Ideally I am looking for a better quality photo printer with seperate ink tanks.

that would be a good replacement photo printer.

If you want to print onto cds and dvds. Look for the epson R220, R300 or the R340.

You can buy an refurbished Epson R200 for £53 or a brand new R300 for £90 which offers similar features to the R320 from:

Both have the six cartridge system for better photo reproduction, especially flesh tones.

The same outlet sells a range of compatible cartridges from 99p upwards.

My best mate has the R200 and it produces superb photo prints.
