Hi Steve,I set up a home network about a month ago.I'm using a Netgear WGR614 router with Netgear WG11 wireless pci adapter cards.Simple to set up and running without a hitch.

Which you need? Router=AP+a few wired ports, so you can use wireless as well as wired net. There are alot to chose from 54g routers click here, AP click here. Netgear one suggested by smoothcue look good.

TomJerry. I need to connect my study desktop (wired) and two laptops one for me and one for my wife (wirelessly) the netgear seems just the ticket.

So thank you both for your help I have ordered the Netgear WGR614 from Amazon fingers crossed all will be well.
