I'm looking to buy some OCR software but would like to know if anyone has any views and experiences as to the best currently available. Thanks

Scansoft Omnipage. The best so far.

ABBYY finereader - I have version 4 which came free and is top class. Worth a try if you have a cover disk with it (or if you want it, email me and I will send you my cover disk). It is now up to version 7; version 5 was free on a mag recently enough.

click here for a free one which is pretty good too.

Does anyone know of a reasonably priced sheet fed scanner, which can cope with (say) 50 pages of documents being fed through at a time?
