Has anybody any experience of returning a faulty Qtec psu and what is the warranty period for the retail boxed product. I previously returned the product to Maplins after 9 months but it was tested and I was told no fault was found. It now cuts out intermittently, I have scanned for virus' and am clean, but is 15 months old and outside Maplins own 12 month warranty period.

Bin it. Most PSUs of any make will not fail during the lifetime of the case/mobo, provided adequate wattage for the equipment.

Tough I know, but the warranty period is over and replacement is (relativly cheap)and easy.

Thanks for your response, I alreaddy have a replacement on order. It just annoys me that Maplins/Qtec should escape sanction afer originally claiming there was no problem with the psu.
