Probable scam from someone holding out as representing VirtualPCdoctor

  Cuil 20 Nov 11

A good friend of mine now in her 80s was recently approached by someone purporting to represent Virtual PC Doctor. In an email they state:"I can understand that you have seen some negative comments in the internet against us. Further to this, I am pleased to inform you that Virtual PC Doctor is headquartered in New York, USA and successfully been providing support to many companies across the world. The Negative comments have been posted in the internet by our competitors in order to spoil our brand name. We are working on this and surely be resolved as soon as possible." Would welcome any feedback on this matter

Tell your friend to delete any such emails, and forget all about it. No reputable business will randomly send out emails like that.

Also tell her never to respond or reply to any like this either. Do as FE says, just delete.
