Printer with separate ink tanks

At present I am using a Canon BJC 3000, but it appears that the waste ink tank is nearly full and that I can't do anything about that. What I am looking for is a printer that does not have the built in obsolesence that the Canon does, and has individual ink tanks, is not too expensive to buy and would reproduce reasonable photo prints. Anybody have any suggestions?

Look at the Epson "C" series. The C80/82, at least, has separate tanks.

You will find instructions on how to clean the 6000's tank.

DIY is cheap. If you boob you can still buy a new printer. If you succeed, you have saved yourself £100
