Printer re-cycling

Is there anybody out there who re-cycles printers that have stopped woring for one reason or another.
I have a total of three at the moment and it seems a waste just to throw them on a skip.

The only problem with non-working standard type domestic printers, is that nobody wants them, due to costs of repair. Some people even throw away good working units, due to the high cost of buying replacement cartridges, it can be just as cheap to buy a brand new replacement printer. Commercial printers like top of the range lasers are a very different matter.

Try your local council recycling unit, they may have some advice or further contacts available.
