Looks not bad for the money mate, friend of mine bought one off Ebay a month or so ago for his sister and shes delighted with it. The guys got a 100% rating even though he hasn't been selling long so it'll probably be alright.

and 82 very happy and 1 neutral. It appears to be a sound place to buy your computer from, and I'm sure you will have no problems with this at all! All the best with it, and please keep us informed.

Ok so far so good, they have answered every email and been great so far, just awaiting my final invoice then i'll pay and we will see what transpires from there.

I hope this record of my experience is of use to others looking to buy and considering the ebay route! I do also hope it works out, from a personal point of view and from a general wish to see others able to trust the system, ebay could be a geat place for all if everyone (sellers particularly) display the kind of honesty which we no longer expect from many high-street retailers.

I would never buy any second hand electrical goods.

I buy and sell on Ebay regularly and have only had two dodgy experiences. A guy in Greece bought a small Item from me and only wanted to pay UK inland postal rates, sent me a neg. Then I bought a DVD from a person in the States and he kept the money and the DVD. Apart from that if you shop wisely it's a great place to buy with some real bargains. Good luck.

thanks a lot for you help, updates to follow,

his paypal fees are way too high. He is legally bound by Ebay to charge a maximum of 3.4% + 20p which should take the total including postage to around £469 (£429 + £25 + 3.4% + 20p)but if he charges £25 + 3.9% you end up paying about £497.00. Are far as I can see.

I appreciate that , i actually bought it for £395,
Also i have told the seller about this forum entry, i hope they read it or/and reply as it is more informative to others that way,
Cheers,

There is no mention of back up restore CD's or Operating System on CD, just preinstalled. If that is the case I wouldn't touch it. Also seems strabge seller is located in Germany and most feedback from there.
