I suddenly find, on connection to internet, software called 'Power Scan' swings into action. Apparently it scans for porn on computer. Seems like a good idea on the face of it.

But where did it come from? I am not aware of installing Power Scan. Can anyone shed any light on this software please?

Thank you.

This prograame appeared when I started up this evening.

Did anyone check out the Uninstall optiopn on its first screen?

Could be a co-incidence but Control Panel>uninstall would not open the uninstall menu when I tried it.

DO NOT open the first link I posted. If you do and click on the 'Uninstall Powerscan' button you get a trojan horse downloaded.

My AVG picked it up after I clicked it just now - it is called:

Trojan horse Downloader.1stbar.5.AB TC.
