Just installed Power 4.0XP and loaded a dvd but get error message "89030000 - unknown file format"
The dvd is from PC advisor and previously seen working on earlier PC.
I'm running WindowsMe .
Any ideas please .

One possible solution found:

Under Advanced Options, change the Player Compatibility to Alternate (UDF).

Also check this link re PAL and NTSC:

By the way this is more a Help Room query...:-)

When I had Win98SE I always used PowerDVD even though I had WMP9 - now on XP Pro and can play DVDs in WMP9 although I still prefer PowerDVD.
