Pinnacle's "Dazzle DVC 80" capture device

Needing a not-too-expensive and external device for capturing my old analogue fottage, I am considering the Dazzle. BUT its connection is USB 1 (not USB 2)and I have grave doubts that its data-transfer rate is fast enough to avoid a lot of dropped frames.
Can anyone out there who uses it tell me what their experience is ?

I use Dazzle Fusion from Amazon £47.99 comes with Pinnacle Studio 8. Hasn't dropped a frame yet, using USB 1. Only problem I have found (along with lots of other Dazzle/Pinnacle users is the sound sync isn't very good. I did try Nero to do the capture but although the video was good the sound was non existent. Nero said their software doesn't support Dazzle capture units yet.
