Thinking of buying a system from these guys, with the following spec = Specification: AMD Athlon XP2000 Processor, 60Gb 7200rpm Fast Hard Disk, 256Mb Dual Channel DDR RAM, 17“ Digital Monitor and GeForce4 MX440 64Mb graphics card with TV Out, 16x DVD, 48x12x48 CD writer, 3.5” Floppy, Keyboard and Mouse, Multimedia Audio and 1200W 2:1 speakers including woofer. V92 Modem and 10/100baseT network included. Now includes 2 Front mounted USB connections. Price £665 inc vat which seems a good deal.

have anyone had any dealings or heard about the company, also any rcommendations of a system for around this price, thanks in advance. Will upgrade in time bit by bit .

I have been looking at them too for a £1000ish system and have emailed them over a week ago but got no response.

I also looked at pcspecialist but am now disuaded from them as they ask for debit cards or cash and cheque and refuse to take credit cards. So your choice of machine, supplier is also dependant on their service too. I have not received any reply from pentathlon and now take that as a sign not to buy from. Imagine you just spent your hard earned cash, then the computer dont work and you can get hold of anyone to come out and fix.

That is my worry, so my money is staying in my pocket and I will take my time before spending it on a worthy supplier and spec

I've never heard of the company but with an item this expensive you would be foolish not to use a credit card. If they won't accept this then go elsewhere.
