Firstly, I would recommend getting a 32 bit OS rather than a 64 bit one as there are a lot of compatibility issues with drivers etc. at the moment.

If I was buying a gaming system today I would go for an ATI 4870 graphics card (click here). The Nvidia 8800GT in your system has been around a while now and starting to become dated, even if it is an SLI setup.

If you do go for 32 bit Windows then it will only be able to see a maximum system memory of 4GB (that includes the RAM on your graphics cards) so you may as well just buy 3GB for the motherboard.

Apart from that, everything looks great.

dave
will this single card beat the 8800gt in sli???
what about the the hd 3870 x2 card ???
joe
like the system but cyberpower is 10mins from my house so i want to use them just drive down and pick it up

change the e8500 to a e8400, this overclocks to 4g anyway, and get a 4970. 3870x2 is obsolete now the new better cards are out.

  vanfish 22:56 05 Jul 08

e8500 is that not better m8
thanks again very helpfull
could u list the whole p.c
for me m8
eg what to look for mem /cards/tower/ motherboard for upgrading etc
the only prob i got is it has to be from cyberpower systems they are ten mins from my house
and i can pick it up good if any probs

The reason people have suggested the E8400 is because it's cheaper than the E8500 and it will overclock to 4Ghz with out any problem.

You need 4G of memory for it to work in duel channel mode.
