Called in my local store last Wednesday for a £2.49 back-up battery which was out of stock. The assistant took my name and mobile number and promised to ring me when the item arrived. It was expected in store Friday lunch time. Received a call around 2pm on Friday to advise me the item was awaiting collection. Must admit I wasn't really expecting to hear back from them. I complemented them on their service at the time and think they deserve a wider mention here.

They run a similar on-line 'when in stock,we will notify you service'. I recently asked to be notified, when stock would be available of two out of stock items, and sure enough I received a email confirming stocks had arrived.
