Outlook Express 6.0 V 7.0 ?

I was not aware that Outlook Express 7.0 is available, is it worth having ?

Where do you download it as it's not shown in Windows update?

Are you sure Outlook Express 7 exists? Where did you see this? I have heard of Internet Explorer 7 and MS Messenger 7 but not Outlook Express.

After all Outlook Express has been replaced by Windows Mail in Vista anyway.

As Totally-braindead rightly points out, OE6 is the current version for XP use and Internet Explorer7 includes this in a download intended for use with XP.

There is nothing to stop you using IE7 if you wish.

There is a thread from yesterday in the Help Forum where someone is having problems with e-mails using OE 7.0

Possibly he made a typo!

I did a google search and according to what I read there was a BETA version which was named initially Outlook Express 7 BETA but they changed its name with the full release. Its now called Windows Mail and is used by Vista instead of Outlook Express.

So according to that Outlook Express 7 is Windows Mail and I think I'm right in saying its only for Vista.

Thats interesting, possibly XP users will be offered a compatible upgrade.
