OEM Software

Does anyone have experience with purchasing OEM versions of various software packages? I constantly receive e-mails touting unbelievable prices for OEM software.

If this is a legitimate channel for software purchses how do you get a valid license and what is the "catch" that allows the prices to be so low.

I saw an offering for Windows Vista Ultimate for only $80USD when the retail version sells for $400USD. Can this be right?

If it's too good to be true it almost certainly is...:-)

OEM is normally used my system makers.
The software comes with no support or help from Microsoft.
Yes it's cheap but for a reason!

I get these emails too, avoid them like the plague. If you want to know the price of OEM software then go to a reputable dealer.
