NTL nomination causes controversy

Quote from news item on this site:

"rumour has it that hundreds of NTL customers are planning to boycott the event. Ispa said it is aware of the possibility and will handle it as and when it happens."

I’d have thought the organisers would be quite pleased the customers are staying away from the presentation , judging by the strength of feeling voiced on this forum and would have nothing to handle when it 'happens', or rather doesn't.

It does make one wonder how many subscribers were going to turn up before NTLs' latest news release. Not exactly bacchanalian event of the year in my book. :-))

"Last night's ceremony, held at the Marriott Hotel in London's Grosvenor Square, also featured its own small but vociferous demonstration - disgruntled punters protesting about NTL's recent decision to limit downloads on its consumer broadband service."

Seems like some subscribers didn't boycott the ceremony after all.

Ntl didn't walk away with any awards though. No suprise there then.
