Has anyone had any previous dealings with Novatech. What are there laptops like,I am looking at the Novatech Maverick 3000 (click here),it seems a very good price at £585 with Windows XP installed.
If anyone knows of anything as good or better could you please let me know.

I buy a lot from novatech and never had any problems, that's not to say you won't. However, the laptop does seem fit for your purposes, perhaps for posterity add another 256 or 512mb ram, it's cheap enough for laptops these days, and the performance gain is enough to justify the cost. As it stands, it does seem a fair deal.

I've got a novatech centrino and have purchased a few for others also. Good quality machines which have had no problems for me or others.

I would suggest that you buy it without XP installed and get the XP CD from them; that will give you more flexibility. They will provide you with a CD / DVD with drivers, software etc on it.
