Has anyone got a new notebook recently and found any pixel defects? Just interested to know your opinions about this subject and did you try to get a replacement?

I have heard somewhere that 5 or more dead pixels qualifies for a replacement.

before you buy check out the tolerance levels for dead pixels policy with the manufacturer whcih should give you the info you're seeking.the tolerance levels of dead pixels vary with different size screens.

Yeah, I have. It's just part of owning a laptop. Providing it's not too annoying, just live with it. I've never seen a laptop with an absolutely perfect screen.
