I don't know how good this will turn out to be but if I have got the concept right would it also mean the end of dirty clothes.

Imagine the benefits, no more spilled beer on your trousers, clothes that stay clean until you have to throw them away.

and presumably very sweaty. It doesn't sound like it would 'breathe' the same way Goretex™ does.

I agree - if it stops fabrics being breathable it will be absolutely hopeless for shoes, but in all other respects it sounds pretty amazing.

Feet wise, I find that a pair of Wellingtons achieves pretty much the same effect - cost is around £5 to £7......
