Hi there, I am thinking of changing mt CRT screen for a TFT one. I play alot of games on line (Medal Of Honor and Battlefiled 1942)and have been put off buying a TFT screen after beinging told that they are not very good for gaming. I am thinking of either a Iiyama or a sharp. I have read the reviews on this site but would like to hear what you have to say about them.

I have about £250 to spend

Thanks

Just purchased the Viewsonic VP171B-2, has an 8ms response time. Check this one out.

There's also the iiyama models, including the Prolife E435S with a 10msc response time:

Two iiyama 17in S702GT CRT monitors purchased in mid-1999 are still in extensive use daily - mine has never required the original display configuration to be changed...:-)

That should read Prolite.

MLewis: The new PCA for April has ascholar's Viewsonic VP171s at no.3 out of 5 in its chart, page211. Not enough info to make final judgement, but it's useful to see PCA's opinion include rank order.

thanks everyone

PCA's opinion probably went down to the price. It's actually £240.53 including post and packing from Morecomputers....not the £280 PCA have in their magazine.
