I have decided to to get a 19" TFT monitor and have narrowed it down to two, which are:

IIyama 4821 TFT.

Samsung Syncmaster 193T.

Has anyone had any experience with either of these two models?

Are there any reviews on them.

And lastly, I have seen the Samsung SyncMaster 193T in PC World for £575. If decided to get it from there, can i feel confident in my purchase.

Cheers.

would be the Samsung, but that's purely because I use their CRT monitors, and they're superb. As far as buying it from PC World is concerned - I've no reason to think that you should be other than completely confident.

Check PCW warranty, which I think is for only one year, due to contractual arrangements. Other years are suggested via PCW extended warranty. If you look elsewhere, you may find that it comes with a three year warranty, as standard.

Thanks for advise FE.
I went again and looked at the Samsung, mmm wasn't too impressed on the second inspection.

So I went for the Iiyama AS4821.

First impressions, it's big, it's funky and it seems ok.
Not tried any games yet, but screen savers and desktops look very good.

Recommended.
