New laptop DVD drive

I have a Mesh laptop (AMD Athlon XP 1800+) and my DVD/CDRW drive (QSI DVD/CDRW SBW-161) has just about given up the ghost.

I'd like to replace it with a drive that burns to DVD as well as CD, can anyone recommend a decent drive and a place to buy it from?

Also - is it fairly easy to pull my existing drive out and plug a new one in? I'm pretty good with technical stuff but have never done this before.

It should be fairly easy to replace the DVD drive. Most generic slim-line (12.5mm) drives should fit. If you e-mail these chaps they should recommend a suitable drive.
