I've decided to pack up with Virgin Media, and basically I want a provider thats good value for money for:

UK Support
Unlimited Downloads

Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance

The only thing you will have problems with with most ISP's these days is "Unlimited Downloads"

What size of downloads in GB are you expecting to do over a month.

I am with Plus.Net > click here < who I would recommend. They have a fair usage policy in place, and GB limits on accounts. But only during peak hours, off peak downloads do not count towards any limits they impose.

I play online games for which they seem excellent, always get good pings to UK servers, and their support is based in Sheffield.

They also do 1 month contracts so if you don't like it you're not tied down.

P.S. If you do go with plusnet, my Id for referral is RCCLTD

It seems the fastest these days are cable based ISP's.
Mainly as some BT exchanges are so old & modernisation is required to bring them up to standard and able to take speeds over 4MB.
