Motherboard prices to high!!!!

I have just seen a K7S5A Motherboard on an American site for $45 I paid £45 for mine and thought I was getting a bargain as I seen the same motherboard in Maplins for £85. Why are the prices in the UK so much higher than in the States and in some cases than in Europe.
