"Missed Calls" on landline

My current home phone displays a "missed call" message on its screen if the phone rings but is not answered - for example if I am out - and I then know that there might be a "1571" message. However, the phone does not display such a message if I miss a call because the phone is engaged, so if I forget to check after each call received, I sometimes miss "1571" messages. Is there a phone which can display a "missed call" message where the call is missed just because the phone is engaged?

I have click here

but to be honest, I don't know if it will show a missed call in the circumstances you describe - but it has never happened to me.

If you pick up the phone and get a pulsed dial tone you have a 1571 message...
