Minolta 7I picture problem

I have a Minolta 7I digital camera. When I take a picture in the "portrait" ie. hold the camera vertical, the picture on the computer shows as landscape. My original Kodak camera automatically displayed both portait and landscape pics as they should be. Anyone know if I can set the Minolta to do the same. Its time consuming to constantly have to alter the pics.

I suggest you visit 'Digital Camera Magazine' site.

Looking at the specs on the Minolta site, it doesn't appear to have a camera orientation sensor, so I would not think any settings are available to achieve what you want.

Hmm it IS surprising that they haven't included this feature. Detracts from an otherwise great camera.
