The Basic Version of Office 2007 according to the Microsoft website is the version that contains Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook only. Does anyone know where this version is going to be onsale? Amazon have all the others for pre-order but not this one.

I'm not wanting to buy Home and Student because it does not contain Outlook.

You cannot buy Office Basic at retail, only with new PC purchases.

Go to Ebuyer, buy the Student version of 2003 for £70; download the Microsoft upgrade form from click here and exhange it for Office 2007 Student plus Outlook 2007 for an additional £10.

The new version of Office launches with Vista on the 30th, btw. No version is available before then.
