I am currently using McAfee Security Centre which expires in a couple of months time.
An offer has been sent to renew Security Centre + free Quick Clean for £42.50 a saving of 50%. However on looking at McAfee site in general they have a 8 in 1 Security Suite for £24.50 a saving of 50%. A pc protection plus 5in1 for £44.99 which if you look further it can be obtained for £35.99 a 20% saving. Also Total protection 10in1 for £47.99 saving 20%.
Can anyone tell me what is the best buy and why as I am totally confused by it all.

You could have AVG free or Avast, AVG antispy, Kerio firewall or ZA and Spybot or Adaware as 'reserves' for free. They work well, do not conflict and cost nothing..moreover they will provide you with all the protection that you could ever need.

Why buy when you can use good well recommended free products, like those mentioned above by Gandalf. Many people within this forum, including myself, use these products on a daily basis, and have done so for ages.

Agree with spuds.
The fact that all these protections are free doesn't mean they are inferior.
I used to pay McAfee about 6 years ago before converting to AVG free, AdAware (free) and Spyware Blaster (free).
Never had a moments trouble.
