Mail Order woes

  realist 09:46 04 Jan 07

I ordered some items from a London electrical retailer's website a couple of weeks before christmas.

They never arrived.

This company doesn't reply to emails and when I phoned I was told goods were sent on 15th December. I've chased them ever since to no avail.

I paid by credit card and total order was under £30.

How do I stand?

the credit card limit for assistance is £100.00.

Was the trader a well-known company?
do you have a receipt, other than on your credit card statement?

You can contact the carrier for assistance and the local trading standards click here, but for the amount involved, it will not be worth the hassle unless of course, you wish to make a point!

Thanks HondaMan.
I have since spoken to my credit card provider John Lewis and they say they'll pursue it on receipt of written details.
