Hi everyone, I want to buy a laptop shortly and will have £1600 approx. to spend on one. I want to use it for office applications/digital photography/e-mails/browsing the net & 3D games etc. I've heard that Evesham have a good range that could handle all of the above.
Does anybody have any advice and recommendations please? Thanks in advance.

I have two recommendations:

Dell computers - click here
and
Rock Direct - click here

Rock's laptops do tend to be weaker on the 3D graphics, due to onboard graphics chips and also use system memory, so buy lots of Memory (at least 256MB)

Dell's have a dedicated ATI graphics chip, which offer better performance.

the mistakes I made were:-

No backup drive: Even so, using a borrowed Cd Writer I currently need 3 CD's.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with my 14.1" screen but a 15" one would have been more satisfactory.
