laptop advice

Am considering this as a Christmas present for my daughter click here, she has just started sixth form. and I would hope this could also see her through uni. My budget could stretch a little higher, I have considered the lowest priced Sonys but they seem to be similar spec to this Toshiba.

Thanks in advance, Alan

but if your daughter has just started the sixth form you might be rather optimistic in hoping it will see her through university. It will almost certainly still be working OK in five years time, but by then there will be much better machines available at a similar, or lower cost.

My advice is to get her the Toshiba and see how it goes - she can always replace it from her student loan if she fancies something a little more up to date in a few years time.
