has anyone got experience of an easy to use software program that will record to a cd or hard disk from an internet radio station whilst your listening to it for my own personal use ,free or otherwise.but it must be easy, im not really a technophile type.

Try Replay-Radio.

Not free though, its "otherwise"
Have used in the past and was easy to select station and programme. You can even use to record a programme you are not able to listen to at the time, just like a vcr for TV. Try the free download to check out the features and see if it meets your needs.

Other option is Audacity which can record anything you can play through your pc speakers not just internet radio.
